About Us
Joan Libby, principal and owner of Cavalier Coach Trailways (Cavalier) has operated and owned Cavalier Coach since 1987. The company is SOMWBA Certified and has over 20 years experience operating a bus service. Joan Libby sits on numerous boards and transportation related associations; including United Motor Coach of America where she holds a seat on the Board of Directors; a member of New England Bus Association, Director for the Massachusetts Bus Association. Ms. Libby is also a member of the Organizing Committee of the Boston Athletic Associatin (Boston Marathon) a position she has held since 1988. She is also a Board Member of the Boston Marine Industrial Park Association. Additional memberships include NAMO - National Association of Motorcoaches and North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
In 2006 Cavalier Coach Trailways became a member of one of seventy-eight (78) Trailways Companies in the United States and Canada.
Ms. Libby has extensive management experience as demonstrated by the numerous colleges and organizations that procure her bus services each year for special events such as the Boston Marathon, Harvard Re-unions, Dana Faber/Jimmy Fund Walk; Children's Hospital Walk and the Avon Breast Cancer Walk to name a few.
Cavalier Coach under the direction of Joan Libby successfully runs commuter line runs for the MBTA for Northborough and Framingham, a service that has been operational since 1991. Cavalier is currently under contract to six colleges, which offer daily shuttle services to students on and off campus for athletics and special events.
